Are you looking for the easy way out?

You start something new and exciting, such as a diet or exercise program like Muay Thai, and maybe you have a win here and there. You’re eating good, you’re exercising consistently, and then – life hits about week 3 to 4 of this new journey.

Your boss asks you to work late, you have a friend that has a birthday party, your spouse is complaining that you are not spending enough time with them, your kids want to go to a theme park, your car motor blows up. Now, these are all legitimate excuses to not workout when you planned on it… You just throw your hands in the air and say “Eh, today is gone I don’t have the time to do it. I will just work out tomorrow.” But then tomorrow comes…and it’s a repeat of the day before and you tell yourself the same thing again.

You see, this is life testing you to see how bad you want it, asking you do you really want everlasting change or are you going to look for the easy way out?

Force yourself to do it, especially around those tough moments in life when things try to get in your way. It’s never a matter of if, it’s when. And if you plan on them happening, you will be ready for it and be able to adjust.

Here are a few things to help you stay on track:

  • When it comes to exercising, maybe you can’t work out in the afternoon like you originally planned. Get up a little earlier in the day and knock out your workout first thing in the morning, or exercise on your lunch break. This will be a big win on the day and from there you can stack all your other wins!
  • When it comes to your new diet program, prep your lunch meals on Sunday afternoon so that they are done for the week.

Let’s stack those wins and not let excuses get in the way of your goals and what you are capable of.

Your only goal is progress, be aggressive with action! Stay focused on your goals.

As always, train hard, be a beast!
