MUAY THAI ADULT TESTING


TESTING MUAY THAI LEVEL I

(Demonstration and explanation)

Fighter stance

How to walk (front, back, and sides)

2 basic punches (how to defend the punches)

2 basic elbows (how to defend the elbows)

2 basic knees (how to defend the knees)

2 basic kicks (how to defend the kicks)

2 basic clinch techniques

20 pushups

2 basic abdominal work exercises

2 basic stretches

While one student is testing for techniques the other student will be tested on how to hold pads

  • After testing is completed student must perform a 5km run with out a problem
  • Student must perform legitimate Muay Thai techniques
  • Required time for testing Level I is 4 months of consistent training


TESTING MUAY THAI LEVEL II

  • After testing is completed student must perform a 5km run with out a problem
  • Student must perform legitimate Muay Thai techniques
  • Required time for testing Level II is 12 months of consistent training
  • Sparring will be required to pass test (3 rounds of 3 minutes with a partner)

  • Student must perform legitimate Muay Thai techniques
  • Required time for testing Level III is 24 months of consistent training
  • Sparring will be required to pass test (5 rounds of 3 minutes with a partner)
